Safety & Age Policy

Social platforms carry real-world risk. This policy explains how FLARE approaches age gates, harmful content, and user safety. It works together with our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 to register. We require date of birth at signup and an affirmative age confirmation. We may add stronger age assurance later (document checks, trusted signals, or third-party verification) where law or risk requires it.

Why age matters

Age gates help us comply with youth-protection expectations (including COPPA-style rules for under-13 in the US and EU youth safety norms). Underage accounts will be removed when discovered.

Harmful content

• Child sexual abuse material - zero tolerance, immediate removal + report
• Self-harm / suicide content that encourages harm - limited; crisis resources prioritized
• Violent threats and terrorism content - removed and may be reported
• Scams and phishing - removed; repeat offenders banned

Blocking and reporting

Tools for blocking, muting, and in-product reporting will expand as the product matures. Until then, email safety@myflare.ro with the profile URL and evidence.

Law enforcement

We respond to valid legal process. Emergency disclosures may occur when we have a good-faith belief that someone faces imminent bodily harm.

Your part

Do not share passwords. Do not meet strangers from the internet without caution. Report anything that feels wrong. Creativity is welcome; exploitation is not.
